I know nobody knows me except David, and truthfully, I really didn't know Kari very well, but I just wanted to say how much I looked up to her. Well my name is Shandell and I go to Victory Family Church. Even though I never actually met or talked to Kari, I remember seeing her at youth group and loving how unique she was. I loved her hair, her clothes, and even her monroe. I got mine done because I liked hers so much. I always ended up sitting near her in youth group. She was such a role model to me. I really wish I could have actually met her. She seemed like the nicest girl. Well anyways I just wanted to say that I am going to try to make it to her up coming memorial service. All of you are in my prayers.

Yesterday I stepped in a creek with my right leg only by accident and it was reminded to me of the time you did it too, Kari. I'm happy to know that you are still watching over me and playing your goofy little pranks on me from heaven. I miss you more than ever.

It has almost been one year and everyday that goes by, Karisa is always on my mind. We rode the bus to school together and your house is located pretty close to my back yard. I say a prayer and show a peace sign every time that I pass your house. I just wanted to let you know that this website is beautiful and I wanted to thank you for making it. Getting to see her beauty via this memorial reminds me just how lucky I was to know such an amazing person. You are always in my thoughts and prayers and if you ever need anything, I am just around the corner. God bless, I miss and love you Kar.

I viewed Kari's website for the first time today and I am filled with so much emotion. She was such a beautiful girl and every picture exemplified what a loving heart she had and how much everyone around her loved her. I feel priviliged to have known her and to have shared in a part of her journey. I think of each of you daily and pray for your continued healing. Kari will never be forgotten. Her memory lives on in everyone's hearts who was fortunate enough to have known her and to witness her captivating smile.

I only knew Kari for a short time. In that short time she made an impression on myself and my family. She was a very quiet young lady who made her presence know without ever having to say a word. I know her family as long time family friends. They are all special people and if any family take a tragedy and move on to something postive, it is this family. Kari, know this, you have many people here who will miss always and will keep you in their hearts always. I know you hear me and many others who are missing you and will always love you. Keep that beautiful smile on your face as you are watching down on everyone.

You have been in my prayers these last few months. I can't even imagine how difficult it has been. I do know that God is the one who will stenghten you each and every day, as you take one step at a time. Jesse, I see you at church and know you bring a smile to kari's beautiful face. You can tell by the pictures how very much she loved all of you.Thank-you so much for the beautiful shirt with kari, you can't imagine how much that means to me.She holds a very special place in my heart, and it makes me even more determined to reach as many youth as I can with the love of God.Please know I am here if there is ever anything I can do for you.

I think of Kari everyday and I miss her so much. I just wish I could have spent more time with her to get to know her better. So that we could become such good friends... Just like my mom and Denise are still friends till this day. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. There was definitely no one like her.
